Very suspicious of the authenticity of the picture of 2010 Red Shirt Protest in Bankok. Why the huge banner is in all Chinese characters (instead of either Thai or English)? Weren't these protesters supposedly US-leaning? Who were they appealing to?
I chose the photo. It's definitely unusual, which is why I chose it. The wikimedia commons author has several other photos from around Thailand. If you zoom in, you can see the Thai translation of the Chinese written at the top and bottom. As far as the motivation for making it, I can't say. The good news, is that the confusing politics you've picked up on is part of the visual point I wanted to make!
